Thanks for your generosity!

Mark and Kate in Monterrey, MexicoLast night was our 4th concert in Las Vegas New Mexico. We’ve raised nearly $70,000 in 2½ weeks – thanks to everyone’s generous support! We spent the day before the show relaxing on our day off doing laundry, cleaning the bus and getting organized. Clay, one of the members of our team, took the day organizing the kitchen shelves. Even though we have only been out here 2½ weeks…Clay has changed all the stuff in all the kitchen drawers 3 different times! So my cereal and cereal bowl has been in three different compartments 3 different times now. He says he is organizing…I think he is playing a game with all of us to see how long he can make people stand there to figure out which drawer to open. Tomorrow is another big day of riding so please continue to pray for the safety of the entire team.

Nearly $70,000 in 2 1/2 weeks is amazing!!!

Continue to rest on your day off between riding and shows, you need to take care of yourself too!

It sounds like Clay is keeping things interesting :-) he’s just trying to keep your mind working along with all the work your body is doing.

Our prayers for your health, Safety, and strength (Physical and emotional) will continue beyond your bike ride. I hope you feel the prayers and love from all of us.

Thank you for all you do!

Dear Mark and Team,

It is beyond words what God is doing through you ( I am sure He is working in you too). The fund raising is just blowing us away here at the Family Christian Stores James Fund. We are so proud of this team and your authentic faith.

This work of love you are involved in began with a movement of the Spirit in Mark’s heart, it moved to action, the team was formed, and now you are taking the message of Jesus Christ and His heart for the orphan and widow into a broken world. The message beyond the orphan is that there are no orpahns with God and that He is in pursuit of an eternal relationship with spiritual orphans – us. This ride is way bigger than the funds. Lives are being changed, folks are stepping up to act for the orphan beyond the dollars, and the church is seeing a great example of authentic faith in action.

Your work on this trip is a radical love for the orphan and your savior Jesus Christ.

Love you guys!

Use your power for good.

Steve

Mark, Eric, and the Crew,

You are the “real-deal” – living out FAITH in ACTION!

I also know this is a big commitment from Kate to “give her husband” for this marathon of a journey. THANK YOU KATE!

WOW!! That is awesome! God is good! And what you are doing is such a sacrifice for these little ones.

I do have to say, you and Kate look good with those babies in your arms ;) I agree with Andy, I know it must be hard to give her husband up for a couple of months. But I also know that she knows in the end, the Glory will all be Gods, and be well worth it for these these children. Kate is right there along side you in every mile you pedal!!

The mornings you guys have gone out to eat breakfast, must be the days you gave up looking for the cereal and bowls. :D

Rest up brother!

Mel

For some reason the Lord has sent you Clay to help you met your goals. Clay has a sense of humor that may be helping you make you through the day. I did some research on humor therapy, and it is a good sign that you can still laugh at little things. Thanks for the great story about when you were in Mexico. Sorry I havent been able to send you the calendar quote each day, but here you go… Things happen in God’s time, not yours. Nothing meaningful ever really gets forgotten. It can always be found by those willing to look. I bet it was great to see the encouragement on the road as you were riding. Maybe the crew can continue to give you encouragement. I do have to admit though, whenever I see the camera shooting out the back window, I wish someone would toss a rope (lifesaver) out to you for some of the miles. :-)
Wishing you the best.

Mark & “crew”

Oh, my gosh! The money you have raised so far is great!! God has certainly picked the right person to fulfill this need. I agree with Mel and Jen, you and Kate do look good with those babies!

It sounds like Clay is helping to keep all of you guessing for the fun of it. I’ve always figured that you have a great sense of humor, Mark, so your crew family has to keep up with you!

Hope today’s ride goes well!! Take care and keep pedaling!

God Bless you, Kate, your crew and everyone close to you.

Blessings,

Mark,

We are watching your journey from here in Seattle. Today’s entry and the photo of you and Kate remind me of the night in September that you rode with me (a stranger to you) to visit my dear friend Annie in the hospital after a concert. You spoke in AWE of Kate’s own bike ride across the country and in awe of her as a person. It’s amazing how God plants his seeds and we have the chance to partner with HIM to see what will grow out of it. We stand in AWE of you as you make this journey, in AWE of who you are as a person and in AWE of what God will do with it all.

Blessings to you on the journey,

Deb Christian and family

Mark,
As an ultra-distance cyclist myself, I am inspired to see one of my favorite musicians pedalling across the United States. There is no better way to get a true feel for the size of this country, and to glorify God in so doing.

Cat.

Hi Mark and Team-

Isn’t it amazing what God can do through us if we listen to Him. What you are doing on behalf of Orphans and Widows is mind boggling!! I agree with Steve, you are doing much more than raising funds- you are stirring action in other people’s hearts, sharing the Hope and Love of Our Heavenly Father, blessing lots of people’s lives (like me :) ).

A special thanks to Kate for inspiring Mark to ride across America. The Lord has blessed Mark by having such a supportive loving woman of God to stand by him.

May the Lord bless you, give you strength, give you wisdom, and keep your spirits focused on Him.

Love to all ;) ,

Marilyn Sullivan
