So we had a great show tonight at the Wesleyan Church of Hamburg, NY. The folks in Hamburg raised over $20,000 for the James Fund! What an amazing bunch of people! Tomorrow we hit the bike trail again. The end of tour celebrations are already set in place, so we have had to move our schedule up quite a bit in order to make our deadline. Please keep me in your prayers as I am having to ride 6 days worth of miles in 5 days. I am going to be going over a lot of mountains on this last stretch, and I will need all my strength to make up the miles. Thank you all for your continued support, and for your prayers. Time for bed.

Wow, you have made a big difference for the James Fund. The money is going for a great cause. It is going to be interesting to see the grand total at the end. I know you can handle the next 5 days. Just eat your Hydroxe cookies, drink your milk, have a few energy bars, an apple or two and of course, keep the water going. I am praying for you and the crew. Hopefully you will get the right directions for the next five days.
You have a great team with you and a great team supporting you everyday on your blog. Prayers are with you & of course the crew as well. Hopefully Clay doesnt loose anything in that beard again.

Too bad I didn’t get the opportunity to meet you in Richmond Indiana. You were only 92.6 miles away from Fort Wayne. You are a great inspiration to me, and it would have been incredible to meet you. But I missed out because I was in the hot state of Mississippi for a family reunion. Yea Go Indianapolis Colts! Too bad I missed out. Well maybe you can visit the radio station here once you’re rested up from the tour. (Star 88.3) Well I would love for you to come to Fort Wayne, but I’m sure I’m annoying you for asking so many times. Well I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip. You’ll be in my thought and prayers. Take care Mr. Schultz.

Mark,
Wow, that is amazing. I’m glad to hear that you are getting so much support from so many different people. I wish I could come out and ride with you again and support you as you ride through the mountains. Good luck and I will be praying for your safety and that God will give you strength. Good luck and I will be thinking of you as you ride. Maybe you won’t have to ride on 2 hours of sleep anymore. Thanks again for the amazing experience on Wednesday.

6 days worth of miles in 5 days!? We can’t ride with you, but we will be praying for you and for those going with you. Not that the Lord will give you the wind at your back and smooth out the hills, but He will be your strength to carry you through when you face them. Genesis 15:1 “Do not fear; I am your shield; your very great reward.”
Have an awesome day, Mark! We are all cheering for you. Gambare!

Hi Mark,
Wow, another great concert for the James Fund! I am anxious to find out what the grand total of funds will be when you are finished.
6 days worth of riding in 5 days? I know you can do it. Count me among your prayer warriors to pray you through! May God bless you with the strength and endurance you need to climb those mountains and hopefully have some coasting along the way as well!
“For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.”
2 Chronicles 16:9 NIV
I wish I could be there for the end of the ride celebrations! I will most definitely be thinking of all of you!
Keep on pedaling!
God bless all of you!!!
Blessings and Hugs,
Chrissy A.
P.S. I agree with Lori about remembering “you have been to Jacksonville”!
Team and Mark!
Wow another great concert! Isn’t great to see that God is using His people to bless others….doesn’t get any better than that!
6 Days of riding in 5? I’m calling in the Big Guy in the Sky, the One an Only who’s strength knows no bounderies……our God who takes ordinary people and uses them to do extrodinary things…..like taking a kid from Colby Kansas and giving him a music career to touch others with His love. Then just for fun our God puts together His team of two hippies and another bald guy and sends them out an adventure across America to raise awareness and funds for those in need! Man our God rocks!
He will be pushing and pulling you up those hills and mountains, cheering you on! Team, finish strong in His strength!
Chris
Mark,
My son has a poster in his rooom with this on it……
The task ahead of you is never as great as the Power within you.
“Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.” Ephesians 6:10
Keeping you in my prayers. Looking forward to seeing you in Austin!!
That is awesome, the generousity of the people is just beautiful. I can’t believe that your almost done. We will also be praying for you even more during the last leg of the ride. Plz dont over do it. We will pray that God will have his angels right there pushing up those hills.
Wish we could be there at the celebration. Its just one month too soon. We’ll be going to Maine for vacation the 1st week of August. Its been such a pleasure helping out with what your doing and we’ll certainly miss the daily blogs and being able to comment to you.
We’ll be praying ya through!!!!!!
Love you brother- In Christ,

PS. Im sending Greg the video this morning, maybe he can email it to you-Hope that you love it.
Dearest Mark … We continue to keep in touch with your progress on a daily basis. You are in our morning and evening prayers …. for protection, guidance, strength and continued vision during your quest for completion on this bike tour. May God bless you and all those who are touched by your efforts. We look forward to seeing you in Topsham, Maine on July 7th.
your brother and sister in Christ,
Maurice and Gisele Guerrette
I think I read on your main website yesterday that you had raised 100,000.00. I am not sure when that was last updated, but with this raised from the concert, that makes it 120,000.00!! That is awesome!! I am sure there are monies not in that total yet! The mountains you climbed at the beginning of this ride, have prepared you for the mountains you will climb during this last stretch! You have done and are doing an awesome job! My prayers are with you strong these last few days! Rest when you can and just remember….you are almost there! So many of these previous posts are so encouraging, all I can say is ditto to those who have posted before me!! All of us out here are surrounding you like…
A cloud of witnesses
That will see you through the miles
Cheer you with a smile
And pray you through the tears
A cloud of witnesses that will see you to the end,
And shower you with love that never ends
A cloud of witnesses.
We are here with you brother. If not in person, we are here with you in spirit and in prayer!! We love you, not only for what you are doing, but for who you are. And most importantly, for who you are in Christ!!
In Christ,
Mel
Wow, It’s unbelievable how much was raised last night. I still can’t believe how awesome and powerful the concert was.
Mark you are one of a kind and a very strong man. I know with God by your side you will do well with these mountains and hills in this last stretch.
6 days ride put into 5!!!! You can do it with all of your supporters and the man who is your real father. Our Lord…
Just remember what Jabez asked for. “Lord I pray to you that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain.”
Well God has blessed you indeed with all your many talents, and he has enlarged your territory, by allowing you to do this bike tour. While all along his hand has been with you throughout this all. Now keeping you from evil, well the good ole Lord has done that too. The causing pain, I highly doubt that you would ever do that, because you are walking with Him and are right with Him.
Just remember We are all praying Night and Day and waiting to see what you do next. We are all Children of God and are so blessed to watch another Child do things like this for His other Children who maybe lost or in need of help. I applaud you for all your doing and wonderfully grateful that I could be a small part of it.
Keep going Strong,
Love Always,
Matt & Linda Moerchen
Dear Mark and Crew,
You are continually in my thoughts and prayers! You have been such a blessing and inspiration to so many people! And you have touched so many hearts and lives that Heaven must be filled with the beautiful sound of the unmeasurable amount of prayers on your behalf! Love you guys! God bless you and give you strength for the road ahead!

Hi Mark!
It has been a long time since I have been on-line, but I got a wonderful e-mail about all of your progress and all you have accomplished in the past few months.
You know that my children and I LOVE your music and I personally have always been so very proud of you and how you use your life to show others how truly beautiful it can be to find and then wholeheartedly serve Jesus Christ.
Our job here on earth is to get to a place where we look in the mirror and see more of HIM and less of us. When we live that way it shows the world the beauty and truth of God’s love and plan. Many people in the “industry” sing and have wonderful concerts that glorify God. It is truly a blessing to know a Christian artist who, after he leaves the stage, his real ministry begins.
Your huge endeavor across the United States is really a big deal, not only to the many, many people who the funds raised will be helping but to the many who feel like hope is kind of an illusion….and then there comes Mark, peddling, humbly peddling his bike, thousands of miles in a quest to help less fortunate and those who have little hope.
Well, I just wanted to say I know you to be a man of great character and a true Christian who lives his faith in a very public yet humble way. I will be praying for you as you cross the mountains and have to make up so many miles in such a short time. I will have my children pray for you too. You can do this…you will be tired…but God will give the power you need when you need it…
I opened my Bible to this passage…it is for you Mark:
14 “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
God will be with you when you are weak and when you feel overly tired. He will sustain you so that all that you do may bring Glory to His name.
Thank you for helping widows and orphans and for being a true Christian that little ones can look up to for a Godly example.
Praying for you Mark….
oh yes….and….
“GO MARK GO!!!!!!!!”
Mark,
You are a true inspiration. What you are doing is such a selfless act. If I could suffer for a day to give you a easy ride through the mountains, I would. What you are doing makes God smile. I know that when you arrive at the gates of Heaven, Jesus is going to welcome you with open arms, stating” Welcome home, my good and faithful servant.” You are in my Prayers…. I cannot wait to see you on Tuesday night in Pinellas Park. My kids are counting down.
Take care my brother.
Steve
Mark -
So close, Chief, so close! Keep your thoughts on the end game; not just in finishing the ride, but in finishing well for the kids and the James Fund!
Ex 15:2 “The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will prise Him…..”
Don’t worry about the hills here in the end. As you have said, God won’t flatten them, but He will help you over them! Perhaps you can spend some time on the uphill legs of this last week working on new lyrics to that awesome acapella version you do of “It Is Well With My Soul”. Call it, “It Is Well With…… These Hills”?!
Pedal On Mark!!!

Wow amazing support from your concert. Thanks so much for being the voice of the orphan and widows!
With God all things are possible! I will continue to pray hard for all of you! When things get tough- look up brother- know that He is always with you. He brought you to it and will bring you through it!
Love to all-
