Great! Glad you’ve made it this far! Keep up the hard work! I’m proud of you Mr. Schultz! Looks like the rain was a bit of a hassle.

Mark & crew,
What a challenging day! You may be quite right–it may be a race to see who/what wears out first. We are praying that it won’t be you nor the bus & bikes. The Lord will strengthen you for the last 62 miles! It won’t be long before you can catch the smell of the Atlantic Ocean (hope it is a nice fragrance…) and you can see it and ride into it! What a celebration it will be! I hope it is all captured on film–would be wonderful to be there live. We will be with you in prayer and in spirit even though we are halfway around the world from NH.
The song chosen for this video was quite appropriate–kudos to the great crew support! Only thing is that you are much closer than “halfway home” yet it must be quite an ache (not just the muscles) as well as an excitement and anticipation to complete the journey and celebrate with your dear wife and friends.
Gambatte kudasai! May the Lord give you much joy in riding the last stretch. Rest well tonight! We will be praying for Clay and the bus repairs. You don’t have a spare generator hiding in the beard, do you Clay?
One last thing, Mark, your tan is a great testimony to what you have done. It will take a while to even out, but it is a reminder of the sacrifice that you have made for the widows and orphans–a bit like the precious scars of our Lord Jesus.
One thing you won’t get having started your beard so late into the adventure is a 2-tone face to go with the arms and the legs! LOL
Many blessings on you, the crew and the family!

Dear Mark,

God bless you! I almost want to cry watching you have to carry that bike in the rain! It must have been frustrating when each time you got it going something else would go wrong. But, you kept pressing on! I’m so proud of you!! It is such an honor to know someone with a heart as beautiful and humble as yours! What an amazing journey you’ve been on! Only one more day, wow! I wish I could be there to see you dip your bike
into the Atlantic!! From “sea to shining sea”! Amazing!!! Praying for your day tomorrow as you complete this unbelievable journey! Love you guys! Take care and God bless all of you!!

Your friend in Christ,
Terry

P.S. I’m going to miss you guys terribly!! : (

Mark-
Way to hang tough with all your bike problems! I know your goodness will prevail!!
I am praying for you Mark, Christian, Clay, and Eric. I pray for safety both in riding the bike as well as the bus.
62 miles left- I have tears in my eyes- I can’t believe this is almost the end of your journey. I can’t wait to see the video made out of this and hear the words that God has revealed to you in this journey on your next CD.
I wish I could be there for the celebration. Know that I will be there in spirit.
I am so thankful what all of you have done for widows and orphans. You amaze me. What fine examples you have been for me -
James 2:24
A person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.

Mark- I know you can do 62 miles when you fearlessly tackled 200 miles :)

May God be with you now and forever my friends!

Love to all

Marilyn

Wow only 62 more miles until this journey is done!

what a great accomplishment!! :-)

Sounds like Satan is working hard to stop you from completing this, I am happy to see you still in good spirits!

You have done amazing things and made great sacrifices for the James fund and helping orphans and widows. You will never know how much you all are appreciated. and how many lives you have touched.

Take care and keep your eye on the finish line.

Satan is really trying to keep you from finishing this ride! But we know there is one who is more powerful and mighty that will see you through to the finish line!! you have done great things on this ride brother, spoke to WAY more people than I think you even imagined. I pray these funds will bless these children and the orphanages they live in, the people who care for them. When I watched the video from home ( I am at work now) and saw the bike breaking down twice, you carrying it, I honestly sat there and said…Praise God!! For one, God allowed it to happen for a reason we know not of, and for two….that you have gone SO far and when you look back at the mishaps, I just have to praise God for there being so few for as far as you have gone. God has protected you and the crew all the way across the country. Only one wipe out with a skinned up elbow, but that tan outweighs them all! Definatly going to miss these blogs and watching your daily progress, but I am still praying for you brother! Whether you are on a bike tour, singing at a concert, or just laying around at the beach, I continue to pray for you and all that you do! See you in 4 weeks!

Thank you to the crew for all they have done to help make this a success, you guys rock!!

In Christ,
Mel

Hi Mark,

Wow, into the last state! 62 more miles and you will be at the Atlantic Ocean! What an accomplishment this has been for you and the crew, all the while raising money for The James Fund! Awesome! The scenery on yesterday’s ride looked beautiful. And it looked like you did have some sun during the day after all. Too bad about the bike problems, but always, you perservered through them.

I know both you and the bus will make it til the finish. Neither one of you is going to wear out (I hope!). Clay will get the needed “fixes” for the bus and God will bless you with the strength and stamina to finish.

Good luck on your ride today and celebrate reaching the Atlantic! I hope the weather on this last day is nice for you.

God bless you Mark, Kate, Eric, Christian, Clay and everyone close to you! You all are the best!!!

Blessings and Hugs,
Chrissy

Mark & Crew - I am just sitting here in awe at all that you have accomplished over the last several weeks. I can’t believe that you are almost there. I also had tears in my eyes when I saw you carrying the bike— You didn’t stop, you just kept on moving!

62 miles— that’s nothin’ :) (as I sit here on my computer!!)
I would love to be at that celebration.

I hope the bus makes it, but hey if not, just have the crew hop on a bike and ride along with ya! What do you think? Would they make it? :)
Thank you so much to all of you guys and for all of the work that went into these videos. It has been an amazing adventure to watch and pray about. I can only imagine the feeling you all have right now. It’s hard to describe anxious excitement, but I’m sure it’s feeling pretty good!
Good luck getting rid of those white shoulders— two years sounds about right! :)
Looking forward to seeing you in Austin on the 29th.

Mark & Crew,

I agree with everyone else that Satan is trying to make you not finish this. But The Lord is behind you and with you and He is helping you conquer this. Only 62 miles left… We all are so lucky to be blessed by a wondefful man and his crew, for taking up on this journey along with them.

After the last day I maybe upset that I wont get to see where you are next, But I can say “Mark went across america for the orphans, who need to be helped and taken care of.” ” And he chose everyone who posts here to be a part of it.” “What a wonderful time and experience we all have had being with you on this journey across america.”

You are such a blessing Mark. I hope no more problems will occur to the bike or the bus. We will be praying that you make it home to kate safetly and for the boys as well to their loved ones.

With Love Always,
Linda & Matt Moerchen

Great to see you are smiling. Just think of all the things you can tell people you seen and the courage it took to do this bike across America. Today’s quote: “Sometimes it takes a lot of courage to keep a promise.” You have been proving this all the way throughout your ride. I know that the James Fund is going to be very grateful for what you have done. Remember to put an ace from a card deck on your bike to remind you of the one watching over you everyday, giving you the strength to continue to your final goal. Mark, it may not mean anything to you, but you have a lot of support behind you and ready to help you as they can. Prayers are with all of you. Please dont forget to show us the final phase and the reception that is planned for you. Sweettlc

By the time you read this you will have finished.

Well done crew and Mark. Your work of service and sacrifice is testimony to your great hearts and love for the Lord.

Your work will change lives for eternity and reach orpahns and widows with the love of Jesus Christ.

You have served well and with pure hearts. You have left nothing for the locker room. It is all out there between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. Treasures in heaven boys - treasures in heaven.

My heart celebrates with you at this finish. You have run this race well and finished so strong. Me thinks it has prepared you for what God has next.

With deep respect and lots of love.

Steve, and the entire Family Christian Stores organization and James Fund Team

Mark,
As I was watching today’s blog, I was listening to you share about the last 62 miles tomorrow, I couldn’t help but clap and cheer out loud here in my little apartment. I am so proud of you, my friend! Overcoming all the obstacles that came in your way and staying persistent! Way to go brother! I once heard a pastor say “persistence overcomes resistance!” and you are living proof of that truth! Thoughts and prayers are continuing for you and your team! Hopefully, neither you, the bus or bike will fall apart. I have to agree, you DO have quite the tan, and it could take awhile to even out, but I am sure it is worth it all! I know many widows and orphans will be (and are being) greatly blessed by your faithfulness. KOKD! (Keep On Kicking the Devil) and I will see you next month!
(((hugs))) and prayers from my parents and myself…your friends in Canada~Helen

Way to go, Mark and crew!!! You did it!!! Woo Hoo!!! I won’t get to watch the video of your dipping your tire into the Atlantic ocean because we’re leaving early in the morning on our mission trip to Mexico so it will have to wait until we return but I’m celebrating with you today!!! See you back in Leawood, KS on July 14!!

I think that its a easy call on that question as to who gives out first-The bus is just a machine but Mark Schultz is the Heart and Soul on this ride and with the 3 men we admire most (the father , son and the holy ghost) ridin with him to the coast, well its a easy question to answer! You will make it and we are all praying for you and for strength and victory is at hand Mark. Have a great ride for your last day and we will always remember as I am sure the James Fund people and more importantly the widows and the children what you have done over the last 3500 miles. I ts a honor to say I know you and have met you and we will see you again soon my friend, Have a great day! and God Bless you and the crew!
Your brother and sisters in Christ,
