I prayed and believed you could do this and you made it this far.
I will keep praying for you Mark and the Crew.

Hey Mark,
Wow I must say once again that you are amazing! You are doing so well. 200 miles, that’s amazing! I’m glad to see that you can still laugh when you don’t hear from the bus and just keep riding. I’m glad to see that you had such a good meal, haha. We’re just in awww, and amazed that you got so far, and I will always be amazed at the strength you have. Good luck with the rest of you ride, and hopefully the bus will not break down anymore. And my dad said that you’re insane for doing that many miles. We are so proud of you that you went that far and that you are willing to do so much for The James Fund. Good luck and I’m sure that God will give you strength to keep riding.

Mark, I just love it when you let out those big o belly laughs, especially that you are still able to do it after a whopping 200 miles!! Your awesome! This video, for some reason just made me cry! Clay, your awesome, is there anything you CANT do. You can pull things from your beard, do cartwheels, pop out of corn fields, flash in rythm with a stop sign, fix the bus, eat donuts! You all are the greatest! Eric, Christian, you guys are great also. Even though we dont see a lot of you two, we know you are still there and that the 4 of you all seem to work in harmony with each other and get things done. the videos are awesome! Please, one favor though. Do not let Mark eat that sub after he carried it on his back for so long in the sun. blech! Riding at night time, having the police come and question you all, your days are definatly eventful! And I thank the Lord for keeping your spirits up, even when you went so long without seeing the bus. Im sure you felt alone out there, no phone, no bus, noone to ride with you. All while Clay is taking a nap *gasp*
You are on the last week of this ride and as far as we have been updated, it has only broke down twice. The first one seemed real minor, but for a bus like that, you guys are doing good…by the grace of God! You guys Rock!! Keep up the good work!

When I saw you pull that sub out form your back pocket…I lost it. That is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Did you actually eat that thing? Maybe you could package those and market them to riders as endurance fuel. You will need a catchy name like “glycosub” or “subdurance”. Stay away from “subpower”. I don’t think anyone would buy those.
Hope you survive th mountains. I wish I could ride them with you.

Mark,
You are such an inspiration. We enjoyed meeting you so much and spending a little time with you, Christian, Clay and Eric. Leigh and Jared had such a good time riding with you. I really would have loved for them to continue riding with you, especially in light of the long day you had Saturday.
I know you will finish strong and that God will give you the strength and energy you need. It is such a wonderful thing you are doing for the James Fund. I know God will use you and your efforts to help raise funds for the widows and orphans.
Clay, Eric and Christian — thanks for being so hospitable to Olaf and myself – you made the trip so much fun. You really impressed me with how well you take care of Mark and all the details, and how committed you are to this cause.
We will keep you in our prayers. God bless you all and we hope to see you back in Ohio soon!

Hey Clay,
I just watched the video again and saw the part about the Dunkin’ Donuts coffee! Man you are men after my own heart!!
Now, for a latte or a fancy coffee, its still Starbuck’s! Although, I had something called “bubble tea” once at George’s coffee house in Ohio. Its a frozen tea drink with clear tapioca balls (bubbles) in it. I’d never heard of it before, so the first time I was afraid to try it. : ) But, a friend kept telling me about it so I tried it and it was really good! : ) But, for a regular old cup of coffee, its Dunkin’ Donuts every time, 3 sugars and extra cream!! Love you guys! Take care and God bless!
Terry
P.S. One time I was on a christian cruise to the Bahamas and much to my surprise there was even a Dunkin’ Donuts in the Bahamas!! So, my friends and I were all excited until we went inside to order and found out that this particular shopping center had temporarily lost power so we couldn’t get our cup of coffee!! Bummer! : ( Kinda like a mirage in the desert or something??

Hi Mark,
Oh my gosh!!! 200 miles in one day!! I thought 160 and 170 miles were remarkable, but this is …… the only word I can come up with is AWESOME!!!! God was with you giving you that extra encouragement. Also, thanks to your Dad and Kate for being so confident and giving you additional encouragement, too.
Hey, Clay, what a day it looks like you had! Does the term “grease monkey” sound right? I hope you have the bus back in good running condition to finish out the rest of this ride. I hope you were able to get some much needed sleep. You look a little weary! Thanks to Eric and Christian for helping you as much as they could. What a team effort!
Mark, did you end up eating your footlong sub or had you carried it in your back pocket too long? It was good to see you happy with your accomplishment today! You also looked tired, but I’m guessing it was what I like to call a “good tired”. It’s great to be able to laugh despite all that happened to the bus and the fact that you weren’t sure where the bus and the crew were! Perserverence and faith were working for all of you!
Take care and rest up all of you!
May God bless you, Kate, Clay, Eric, Christian, and everyone close to you with great abundance over the next days!!

easily my favorite video…. I loved the sub riding shotgun w/ you for 2 Hundy. When you called your dad for help did the conversation go like this:
Mark: “Dad I am tired how do I get 200 miles?”
GS: “easy just stop at the next C-Mart and get one of those delicious subs, DON’T eat it though just tuck in your tights and ride the next 150 miles.”
I appreciate you riding 200 as a tribute to all those (me) who have provided advice to you along your trek across all 50 states. I have to two suggestions: 1) all those bears with the biking outfits should now have a little sub in the back pocket and 2) the real sub (if you didn’t eat it) should be signed and frozen.

200 miles, you are amazing. I cant even begin to tell you how awesome that is.
The true love of Christ shines through you Mark. The widows and children are so blessed to have you do this for them.
The sermon yesterday at church was about God’s will. I thought it was great. How its not up to us to figure out ‘why’ Gods will is what it is for our lives, but for us to just follow his plan, to earnestly seek him in all that we do and he will lead us down that right path. I truely believe that is what you are doing right now. You are being a faithful servent.
We love you brother,

Your faithfulness to God and to this project is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I had hoped to cheer you on as you rode through our little neck of the woods (Little Falls, NY) Have been praying as you went, but when KLOVE announced you were riding through, i wanted to hold a sign, buy you some water, SOMETHING! (though I see you discovered the amazing Stewart’s subs-hope you had a chance to enjoy some of their ice cream, too!)
Was very disappointed that none of the local press had any idea what was going on, but I understand your day was rather interesting, too. Willing & resourceful mechanics are a gift from God (even when the equipment appears to have come from – shall we say – a different source!)
Congratulations on this day’s accomplishments, finishing the ride in such great time & spirits…and next time- stop & let a decrepid old grandma buy you an ice cold lemonade!
Many Blessings! Gina (from the mountains near LF,NY)
