Mark-
Good to see you refreshed after the weekend another 90 miles! You are awesome dude :)

Hanging Out!How wonderful to see the outpour of love and support from the Kansas people. Lots of riders to keep you company, a police escort, youths cheering you on and a wonderful dionner with Krystal and her husband.

I hope you know you have many supporters- be it riding with you, watching your blogs, praying, cooking and just sharing the news with others. You rock brother!!!

What you are doing is for the Glory of Christ for “whoever welcomes a child like this in my name, welcomes me” Matthew 18:5.

May you enjoy the ride with Dave and may the Lord continue to use you as a tool to help orphans and widows.

May God bless and guide you-

Marilyn

The community around you guys is great. The ride through the heartland looks to be among friends.

Stay strong! The effort made by you all for the orphan and widow is still such an amazing thought. You guys are my heroes.

Love,

Steve

Hey, it’s great to see you back “on the road, again”. It looks like you had a great group of people riding with you and additional ones cheering you on! The midwest countryside looks great.

I hope everyone was able to get back into the swing of things after some well deserved rest.

Keep on pedaling!!

God bless you, Kate, your crew and everyone close to you!

Blessings,

Mark-

Would like to ride with you as you make your way through Illinois but being a 14-16mph rather than a 16-18mph rider I think the Lord is saying I should be a supporter. I love your work, your music and would love to help as you travel through Illinois.

Even though I live just west of Chicago, if you have someone who would like to ride and support the James fund but needs a bit of car support they can contact me at dlkortge2@hotmail.com.

Keep His love in your heart and His strength in your legs for we do nothing by our own power.

Hey Mark,

That is quite the farmer’s boy tan you have there, make sure you are putting on some sunscreen! It was so nice to see the new blog, we miss you when they are not there! What are we going to do when your riding is over – we will go into withdraws. I am so glad to see others riding with you, what a blessing. Take care and keep the blogs coming, they are great. Jesus loves all you are doing for him.

Hey Mark!
Great to see you all rested up after a well-deserved weekend off. I am happy to hear the first 90 miles of the second half of your tour went well. That is quite a tan! Just don’t burn yourself, like I have…it’s not fun! Praying for you that the rest of the tour goes great and that many widows and orphans will recieve a huge blessing for what you are doing. And may God bless YOU richly as well, for all you are doing for His Kingdom! We love you Mark and are praying for you, your crew and Kate!

Mark –

My daughter Sydney and I came in from Ft. Worth to catch your concert for Greensburg. My brother Mike is the station manger for KJIL and we didn’t want to pass this concert up. Thanks for taking to the time for those folks, primarily all the kids from Greensburg that attended. Giving them your time in the midst of the great ride you’re on was truely a blessing!

Gods Speed on your ride, and we pray He makes it fruitful in many different ways!!!

Hi Mark, Christian, and the crew–

Getting ready and looking forward to meeting you Sunday in Chillicothe.

In preparing for the ride next week, the biggest thing I’m discovering is how much you learn. People might think that the biggest deal is physical endurance or comfort on/with the bike. But, for me, the big thing is learning how much I really didn’t know about cycling. I have an all-new respect for cyclists.

Personally, the preparation is also teaching me not to take details for granted. I’ve found myself through the process (especially getting my Trek refurbished) thinking “too bad I can go back and do that over”. So, I’m learning to live with “what is” and to be content and just make things work.

Funny how God uses things like this to further develop character– and that’s not even mentioning the significance of the orphans, widows, and The James Fund (which is the reason we have gathered here today).

Training is going very well– getting stronger every day– learning something new every day– looking forward to having some fun with y’all !!!!!!

BTW: “Let’s Go” has become my official training theme song. I hear it in my head EVERY TIME I get on that bike !!!!! :)

See y’all Sunday– Blessings!

Dear Mr. Schultz,
Sometimes I have to laugh at all the small towns you go to. I’m from Phoenix and everything is so big here:)
I’m so glad you had a great ride and some people to ride with you. That always helps when you have someone to encourage you along the way.
God is so awesome!!! He is holding you by your hand and giving you the strength to endure.

“God says…
‘I’m holding you by your hand
My grip is tight so you won’t slip away – My dear one
Your my precious child
You’ll forever be close to me
‘Cause I’m holding you by your hand…
I’m holding you by your hand.’” (I’m Holding You – Leanne Kupper)

God, please put your hand of protection upon Mr. Schultz today and give him the strength to get to where he’s going. And may he see you in a way that he never saw you before.

Have a great day!!! May the Lord bless you today in a special way!
In His Arms, Leanne

This verse made me think of you, for what you are doing by the Lords’ strength is more than any of us could ever image doing. Great Job!

Mark and crew,

Although I won’t be riding out there with you, I have signed up on your message board to pray for you every day as you pass through the area. To help me remember to pray incessantly, I have placed a small rock in my shoe so that every step I take reminds me to lift you and your ministry up in prayer. God bless!

“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5 :16-18

This post is for someone who cant get the site to work….

Mark and crew we are amazed by your faithfulness. We continue to pray for you all when we see a cyclist on the road. This morning a rider past the house while Ashley was waiting for the bus, she wanted to pray for you. The prayer was short. “Lord keep Mark safe while he travels over Your land, Amen.

We are all praying for you safety and can’t wait to see you in NH.

Suzette and family

Welcome back to the road… If Clay starts to hide your dishes again, you can always have him clean the windshield…. some nice views. I do hope you are using a good suntan lotion, so you dont get burnt. Nice to hear you got a great send off and an escort. Did you miss the calendar of the day???? I did, I think it gives a little extra meaning to what you are doing and makes me think of how the quote can help me through the day, I do hope you enjoy. “Let me help you understand something about God. What’s good in the world, God made it. This would include babies, sunsets, and three-day weekends. The bad stuff in the world comes from somebody else entirely.”
