*wipes tears* that is just awesome! Good stuff you are doing out there brother! From what I can see, you really made a difference in these kids lives today….for a long time to come! You are such a good, godly, loving man doing God will for your life. Thank you for being obedient to the Lord. The extra long hug and talking to that little girl, was a blessing to her, I am sure. Prayers going up for you all, for these children.

In Christ,
Mel

(((tears…….)))))

What an awesome father that you will be Mark! The way that you took that little girl in your arms and held her extra long, comforting her & speaking to her……it’s just so evident that you have the heart full of the love of a Daddy! How special it must have been for you to be able to visit with the very organization that was responsible for uniting you with your FOREVER family. Bless you again, for all that you continue to do for these children.

In HIM,
Sarah

As I watched this video it broke my heart to think that there are that many children in our own country that need a place to come home and someone to love them. When we think of orphans we think of other country’s not our own. I guess when people want to adopt here in the US, they want a baby, that is why they go elsewhere. Thanks for showing us that we have children of our own that need someone to love them. God Bless You with all my heart, and thanks for loving all the unwanted children, they are very precious to our Father in Heaven.

Love you in Christ, my friend - The Wamplers in Phoenix

This story and ride continue to touch my heart. As a Truth and Training Director for the Awana program at our church, we talked a great deal this past year in Council Time about how important it is to build the foundation of our character in Christ. That if our foundation is built with God’s Love for us, with the salvation that Christ gave us on the Cross, and knowing that He gave us the bible so we can study and share His word, our character will have an incredibly solid foundation on which to build the rest of our lives on.

It’s my prayer after watching this clip that each of the kids are blessed with a home like the one He found for you, Mark, and that these parents give their children a foundation in Christ to build their lives on as well. And that the James Fund continues to find and use people like yourself and the man you met in Mexico that was an orphan, but was given a chance by wonderful, adopting parents to bring awareness to these kids and hope in finding just such a home. Pedal on, Mark!

*also wipes tears* What a blessing it is to see you doing all that you are doing for the glory of God and for the children and widows. I also pray that the children seen on the video and around the world will be blessed with great families to adopt them as you were. May God continue to bless and keep you. (((hugs))) and prayers to you, Kate and your ministry team. Love you all!

Way to go Mark and gang! It is great knowing that you are touching so many lives. Through the blogs, word of mouth, the e-bay auction, the stops you are doing in the differents towns, the concerts, etc. It is impossible to think of the number of people who’s lives you are touching and making a difference. Trust me, if I had the financial means I would take a child in in a heartbeat. As they say, children are our future. Thank you and thanks to everyone helping you (the bus gang, family, friends, spouses, etc.) You have already achieved one of your goals, getting people to know the James Funds and what they do. Like one person said, when thinking of individuals who are in need of family, we tend to think outside of the US and not to the ones who may live in the very same town as us. I know Thank you does not say a lot, but it is a start. The quote for today “I think people say terrible things to each other sometimes and they think it’s too late to make things right. But you know what? That’s why God invented apologies.” Just remember for when your one helper leaves the bus. God bless. Sweettlc

It just breaks my heart to see all those children not having families. We all know they are out there, but to actually see their faces for me is a wake up call that they really need our help. Thank you Mark, for using the gifts that God gave you in many respects ( your music, your adoption, your kindness and compassion) to give back and bless these sweet little children! I know the harsh realities of other countries’ orphans is not good. But as someone else said, its here in our own country that many older children are being left behind because a lot of people want babies. It is so awesome that you got to go see them and are letting the world share this with you. My prayer is that millions will see what you are doing and the adoption agencies will be overwhelmed with people wanting to adopt!! - A friend told me yesterday that you were on CNN early in the am, now that will get the word out- Great Job!! ~ The Lord is well please with you~:-)
We’re praying and sharing about you constantly.
Love you In Christ,
The Ross’s

Posting this for someone else….

What an awesome gift you have given these children. You and the crew let them know how special they truely are. The fact that you are traveling across the country for them and others like them. My prayer is that the blog touched at least one family and they have made the call to start the adoption process.

Mark & Crew,

Way to go in highlighting the needs of REAL children, not just statistics, or numbers, or vague need…. but REAL lives, with REAL hurt, and REAL need.

You made it real for us today…

Oh my goodness! I wish there were a way to reach through the tears and through the screen and hug every one of those precious faces! It must have been really hard that it wasn’t possible to just load up the bus and bring them home with you guys! What a beautiful thing you did being there for them today. And for all that you are doing each day as you ride your heart and your bike “across America” for them! The love and compassion for those children was written all over your face! I agree that you will be an absolutely wonderful father one day!

The song in the video was beautiful! Whoever is putting together your videos, the filming, the songs, everything, is doing an awesome job!

Mark, I really hope you get to read this comment. What you are doing so touches our hearts. I’ve been an admirer of your music - but didn’t know your own story of adoption or about this journey before today when a fellow adoptive parent sent it to me. We adopted an 11-year-old girl from Kansas Children’s Service League two years ago. The call to action in James was part of the call we felt as Christian parents to open our hearts and home to another child that needed a forever family. For those of you that commented you would adopt but financially can’t do so, please read James and rethink and pray about your decision. In most states, there are benefits and subsidies available for adopting these special children. All of our legal fees were covered by the state. In Kansas, the child receives backup health coverage even after adoption. We have had no medical expenses for our daughter. In the US, most orphans are “legal” orphans rather than the traditional orphans that we think about who have lost parents through death. These children have either been given up or have been lost through parent’s inability to care for them. They can get lost in the foster care system and bounce from one living situation to the next - until they are emotionally wounded and damaged. Then it becomes extremely difficult for them to transition to a forever home because they have so many challenges that face them. We have been very blessed by adopting our daughter. It has not been easy, but very rewarding as we have watched her change, grow, heal and feel confident about herself and safe in a forever family. Please don’t dismiss adopting an older child because you don’t think you can financially handle it. At least look into the resources available to you in your home state. If you are called to this special mission, then God will provide the way. Thanks again, Mark, for all that you are doing on behalf of other kids just like my own.
