Mark and Team, the form of the work we do for orpahns and widows is a varied and the people doing it - riding a bike for example across the country is a very unique orpahn care ministry, or the third grade class at Fort Worth Christian School selling baked goods is an unique orphan care ministry. The powerful thing is that the form may be creative and unique, but the substance is all about acting out God’s promises to the orphan and widow. No matter the form, the substance is about being involved in God’s work as He provides care for orphans.

Why do you ride? You are involved in God’s work as you and He take up the cause of the orphan and widow. The substance of what you are doing for the orphan and widow is to - rescue them, deliver them, come to them, hear them, lift them up, make then a home, not forget them, extend mercy toward them, give them food and clothing, be their helper and maintain their cause. These are the promises God has made to the orphan and widow, and your work is this.

This is really the work that you and the team are up to. Not just riding, driving, fixing flats, making video, putting on concerts - the real work is God at work in you all to fullfill His promises to the orphan and widow.

Ride with power, Live with strength, Serve well.

Love, Steve

Hi Mark - good to see you had some company for a change! :) Riding with someone really is energizing and more enjoyable - takes your mind off of the “grind”. :) I see Hector has told you what I had mentioned in one of my earlier comments — in that you really need to make sure you eat snacks/energy food through the day, to keep your energy up because you’re depleting it as you ride hard and up mountains, etc.

Take care of yourself -
Charmaine

Hi Mark,

I am so glad to see Hector out there with you today, what a blessing!! I hope more people will pick up there bike and ride along with you, it would be so much fun!! My son Zach so much wanted to ride along here in AZ, but he is only 14 and that doesn’t work. Who knows maybe next you will be hiking mountains for the orphans and widows?? That would be a challenge also! God Bless you for all you are doing to help, it is such a pleasure each day to be updated about your trip, my kids love it and they are getting to see the beauty of God’s wonderful land, by the videos you are airing for us!! God Bless again and keep up the good work!! My prayer today is for God to put more people on there bike out there with you to help, so if you are reading this and you feel God tugging at you heart, give in and go biking with Mark and I am totally sure you will be blessed beyond your imagination!! We are glad you have become a part of our family!!

Your friend in Jesus Christ, The Wampler Family

Hey Mark and Team-
So happy to hear you had a riding partner- Thanks Hector :)
I know Mark appreciated your cycling tips. Thank for also refreshing his spiritual condition.

I am happy :) that God has moved in you and your teams hearts to be the voice for orphans and widows. Imagine being 15 years old and cared for in an orphange and told- you must leave- we are done taking care of you.

Know that through your cycling across America you are making a statement by saying- “No, I do not find it acceptable to put a 15 year old on the streets cold, hungry, alone, scared.” I will help the orphan. Instead of saying you will, you are embracing it with all of your heart , taking action and educating people to join the fight.

Thank you for being a man of God and following that small voice that told you that God wants to use you for HIS Glory. Thank you from the children that now will have hope. Hope to further their education, Hope to make a difference in this world, Hope to share the message of Jesus Christ.

Much love and prayers-

Marilyn Sullivan

Dearest Mark,

Strong is the man who…..
Goes without planning
Seeks without asking
Walks without seeing
Trusts without comprehending
Obeys without questioning
Acts without understanding
Does with out knowing

BUT Stronger is the man who….
Listens to the Lord
Does for those who can’t
Speaks for the speechless
Loves the difficult ones
Sacrifices himself
Obeys out of faith
Serves the weak
Hopes for the future
Changes generations
Empowers the less fortunate
Saves the lost
Leads by example
Wins out of desperation for more
Thirsty for a taste

And rides for today to save those of tomorrow!

You ROCK Mark, an inspiration to those of us who are found in Christ but lost in this world. Bring us back to the basics of loving the least of these. We are praying for you!

Hello Mark and crew team,

Thanks for continuing to do your part! We cannot tell you how much this ride means to us all! You are not alone as ET put it ‘I’ll be right here!’ as ET pointed to Elliot’s heart! Of course we are not saying you look or even ride like ET; though he actually made Elliot’s bike physically fly. You are making your ride spiritually sore in all our hearts!

By the way, crew team, is there any way you can get that camera mounted on Mark’s bike for a short time so we can get a ‘real’ feel? Your videos are wonderful and I thought this might add a new look!

Much support and encouragement from the Casazza’s of Atlanta, GA

Hey Mark and team,
Wanted to share something with you….” The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats (HAHA) called Jobs. But if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perserverance, Insurance called FAITH, a driver called JESUS, you will make it to a place called SUCCESS! Thanks to Hector for being your partner yesterday. You can see how much it meant to you to have him with you….a blessing. Keep it up…You are doing Great! Jen

Hey there!
I just learned about your bike across America. (Heard it on FM S.O.S Radio in Las Vegas, Nevada.)

Thanks for everything you are doing! My entire family (mom, myself, my kids) love your music. What you’re doing makes us like ya’ even more!

Keep it up. What an fun, tough way to serve widows and orphans. My parents will be driving to Las Vegas, New Mexico from Texas at the end of the week for a 50-year church camp reunion at Blue Haven. I emailed Mom so she would know to look for you on the road! :)

Blessings to you! –Sarah

WAY TO GO MARK! Our staff team is praying for you, and wanting to send all our encouragement your way!
We want you to know that what you are doing is inspiring — and your heart for the children that we work with here in Monterrey is an amazing source of encouragement to us. I think back to your visit here in Monterrey, and the way you were touched by Rodolfo’s story — and the man that God has made him today. REMEMBER RODOLFO, and remember the hundreds and hundreds of young kids just like him who have endless, untapped potential that the Lord wants to tap into. God wants to reach them, and God has plans to give them a HOPE and a FUTURE. Thanks for playing such a huge role in helping us to keep doing what God has called us to do here. Thanks for answering the call to make a difference in the lives of “the fatherless”. Keep riding for the “Rodolfo’s” of Monterrey, Mexico — and the world!
Peace of Christ, Matt and Julie (Back2Back Monterrey)

Mark-
That was a ‘Mad’ ride today. Glad to see you hook up the “Powerbars”. There are some other sport enhancing products out on the market you may be interested in 1) Gatorade 2) Icy Hot . I’ve got more suggestions if you need ‘em. In the mean time keep that ‘hot’ pack on that knee and remember the RICE. Turrell wanted me to tell you that if you have any problems with your bike he has the JB weld ready.
