Really enjoyed the "Ridin with the King" video. Looked to me like you wore him out. Now I hear you went 170 in one day! Serious. Ride safe and Godspeed - Jim

Mark-
A day like you had today is kinda like everyday for GS just kickin' it on the leather sofa with the remote in hand and a nap on the horizon.

Hey Mark,

I want to let you and the 'Bus Boyz' know that your efforts aren't only impacting widows and orphans via the James Fund.

I've mentioned your ride across america to a few of my cycling coworkers and while their initial interest is in the biking, the conversation inevitably leads to questions of 'how does he stay motivated?', and THAT inevitably leads to a discussion of the love of Christ for the poor, downtrodden and outcast and His love for us. You may not have anticipated this side-effect, and it may not be your primary focus, but thanks! I'm sure others have seen similar opportunities arise simply by mentioning your efforts 'around the coffee pot'.

Can you give me some techie dirt on the cycling aspects of the trip? It would help to keep my conversations with them going. One asked what the model of your bike is (beyond just a 'Trek'). I personally think it would be interesting to have a FLAT TALLY for your trip. We also wondered how the car and truck drivers are treating you and how you find out whether you can or can't ride your bike on Interstates since some states don't allow it.

Jeremiah 29:11 reads "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I'm sure you'll never know how multi-faceted God's plan has been for you and this bike tour, but I'm glad to see one little part of it playing out in my own workplace.

God bless you, my brother,
Joe

Hey Mark,

40 mph without pedaling?!!!! That sounds a little scary to me! Thank God for tailwinds and for Wes being able to accompany you. I'm sure you two had a very good time. Be glad you did not have to bike in a southerly direction in the west central part of Illinois today because we had winds up around 30 mph, sustained! I'll pray for better weather when you bike through.

That's all for today. I pray for you and your crew everyday. Take care and be safe!

God Bless you, Kate, your crew and everyone close to you!

Blessings,
Chrissy A.

Hey Mark,
Thats great that you had an easy gliding day. Yeah for easy days!!! It was really great of those kids to raise that money for the James Fund and support your ride. You are truely loved by the children ( mine included). I as mel, don't have much to say except you're awesome, we're praying and go get some mc donalds!!!
In christ,
